Walter Jerome Gardner

Gardner, Walter Jerome “Jerry”, 73 of Steubenville, Ohio died June 10, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones. Jerry was born January 27, 1947 in Ambridge, PA, the son of the late Robert and Betty Laura Beers Gardner. Jerry was also preceded in death by his first wife, Linda O’Dell Gardner; four brothers: Edward, Robert, David, and Michael Gardner and grandson Travis James Bowers. Jerry was a marine and served his country in the Vietnam War. Jerry loved his dogs, his family and going for car rides with no specific destination. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved Ohio State football. Surviving is his loving wife Kathy Lynn Knox Gardner of Steubenville; five sons: James (Lisa) Gardner, Ronald (Aimee) Gardner, Steve Gardner, T.J. Bowers, Todd (Deana) Bowers; one daughter: Michelle Farnsworth (Edgar); one brother: Randy (June) Gardner, one sister Peggy Gwinup Gardner, one sister-in-law Cindy Knox, and one brother-in-law James (Lori) Knox; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours are Saturday June 13, 2020 from 1pm - 4pm at Schuetz funeral home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio.
