Stephen Mario Purpura

Stephen "Steve" Mario Purpura, 61, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on June 12, 2022 surrounded by family.  He was born on October 20, 1960 to the late Steven Patrick and Marguerite Helen (Kilver) Purpura.  Also preceded in death by infant brother Donald Purpura.  Steve taught courses at West Virginia Northern and Eastern Gateway College, Surveillance at Wheeling Island Racetrack, and Graduated College with a Masters from WVU in Electrical Engineering. Survived by Lori Ann (Pagendarm) Purpura of 34 years Married, Amy Purpura of Alexandria, Va, Holly (Alex) Dye-Purpura of Corvallis, OR, one sister Mary (Gary) Maxwell and one brother James (Marsha) Purpura, mother in law Rita Pagendarm all of Wheeling, many nieces and nephews, two dogs Dusty , Quinn and a cat Boots.  Memorial Viewing will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Church Warwood on Thursday June 16, from 9 am until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am with Father Paul M. and Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac  Co Celebrants. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to an Animal Shelter of your choice.  Schuetz Funeral Home Wheeling assisting the family.
