Wayne Claire Heckman, born on June 28, 1942, in Royal Valley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2024. He was a remarkable individual whose life was defined by his own distinct personality and steadfast adherence to his principles.

Wayne's career was nothing short of impressive. He drove accident-free for over one million miles while working for BOC Gas Co., demonstrating not only his dedication to his profession but also his commitment to safety and excellence in all he undertook.

Beyond his professional achievements, Wayne was known for his cantankerous demeanor, which endeared him to many. His unique approach to life often led to memorable interactions with friends and family alike. He lived life by his own rules, leaving a lasting imprint on those fortunate enough to know him.

Wayne had a love for simple pleasures; he savored Hostess Cupcakes and was an enthusiastic fan of WWE Wrestling, often sharing his passion for these interests with loved ones.

He is survived by two children, Wayne H. (Debbie) Heckman of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, and Susan (Richard) Thompson of Valrico, Florida. He took great pride in his family, which includes four grandchildren: Richard (Rebecca) Durstine of Surprise, Arizona, Wayne E. (Amanda) Heckman of Mallberry, Florida, Tabatha Thompson of Plant City, Florida, and Taylar Thompson of Valrico, Florida. Additionally, he is survived by four great-grandchildren: Angelena, Rihanna, Hayleigh Durstine of Surprise, Arizona, and Wayne Noah Heckman of Mallberry, Florida.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edith (Umbaugh) Heckman-Robinson. His legacy lives on through his family, who will cherish the memories and wisdom he imparted throughout his life. His unique spirit and bold authenticity will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
