In the quiet town of Weirton, West Virginia, a beloved soul has departed. Thomas Jeter Jr.,76, born on November 21, 1949, in Carlise, South Carolina, embraced life with an indomitable spirit until his final breath on March 3, 2026. His presence was as vibrant as the many colorful hats he delighted in wearing—a tribute to his lively personality.

Known for his uncanny ability to connect with others, Thomas was never one to meet a stranger. Those fortunate enough to cross his path will remember him for his charming humor, his talkative nature, and that unmistakable bubbly energy that lit up any room. He found joy in being around people, effortlessly weaving bonds and creating lasting memories through shared laughter and genuine conversation.

Thomas worked at several car wash in his life, a job that suited his outgoing spirit perfectly. It was a place where he shared his laughter and wit, cultivating friendships that transcended the confines of the workplace and blossomed into a community of kinship. Yet, his legacy extends beyond this role; he was a man who did not let the challenges of life hold him back. He faced each day with resilience, a quality that inspired all who knew him.

Outside of work, Thomas found solace and a sense of camaraderie in shooting pool—an activity that mirrored his zest for life and connection with others.

Thomas's life was enriched by the warmth of family and friends, including his dear sister, Louella Whitley of Canton, as well as JoAnne Jeter of Steubenville and Beverly Jeter of Weirton, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Their lives were intertwined with his in a tapestry of love and shared experiences, each thread a memory that will linger in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Ida Maude (Jeter) Jeter, whose legacy undoubtedly shaped the man he became—one who honored their memory by living with purpose and passion, and his brother Larry Jeter.

As we gather to remember Thomas, we invite friends and family to join in a time of visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service  at 1 pm with Bishop Michael Toliver, celebrating his extraordinary life at Schuetz Funeral Home and Cremation LLC (formerly Amos F. Gregory Funeral Home) at 2028 Delaware Ave Weirton, West Virginia, on March 7, 2026. The gathering stands as a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit that will indelibly remain in our memories.

Thomas Jeter Jr. leaves behind a rich legacy of love, laughter, and the cherished belief that he was truly ‘never alone’ in this journey of life.
