In Weirton, West Virginia, a beloved man has passed away. Thomas Jeter Jr., 76, born on November 21, 1949, in Carlisle, South Carolina, lived life with a strong spirit until his final breath on March 3, 2026.
Thomas had a special way of connecting with people and never met a stranger. Anyone who knew him will remember his sense of humor, his love for talking, and the joyful energy he brought wherever he went. He enjoyed being around others and created many memories through laughter and good conversation.
Thomas worked at several car washes throughout his life, a job that fit his friendly and outgoing nature. It gave him the chance to talk with people, share a laugh, and build friendships that often went beyond work. His life showed that he didn’t let challenges stop him. He faced each day with strength and determination, inspiring those around him.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoyed shooting pool and spending time with others. It was another way he stayed connected with friends and enjoyed life.
Thomas was blessed with the love of family and friends. He leaves behind his dear sister, Louella Whitley of Canton, as well as JoAnne Jeter of Steubenville and Beverly Jeter of Weirton, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will always cherish the memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Ida Maude Jeter, and his brother, Larry Jeter.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Thomas on March 7, 2026, at Schuetz Funeral Home and Cremation LLC (formerly Amos F. Gregory Funeral Home), located at 2028 Delaware Ave., Weirton, West Virginia. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM with Bishop Michael Toliver and Pastor Garnet Jones.
Thomas Jeter Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the comfort of knowing he was never alone on his journey through life.
