Terry Dean Gump

December 12, 1957 — June 21, 2025

Columbiana, OH

Terry D. Gump, 67 of Steubenville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on 6/21/2025.

He was born on 12/12/1957 to the late Clifford Dean Gump and Anna Ruth Wade Gump. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruth.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Gump (James Morelli) of Steubenville, Ohio, and Angela Hall (J.R.) of Mingo Junction; his two grandchildren, Jacob and Madison; his siblings Carol Carmichael, Barbara Sears, and Richard Gump; and many nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly.

Terry worked in security until he became disabled. His passion was to work alongside the men and women in blue, where that was tragically cut short by significant injuries sustained in an accident. The police academy was something he often spoke about to anyone who listened.

Terry had many passions and interests. His love and true dedication for the Miami Dolphins was unmatched. He also loved wrestling, that he often enjoyed with family. His one true love that family will laugh about for years to come though, was his favorite beverage, Mountain Dew.

Most importantly, his love for our Lord and Savior was something he held dearly; he often spoke about the many churches he was a member of throughout the years, and still knew his born again date of 3/12/1989. This brings the family such joy, knowing we will someday be reunited with him in heaven.

Arrangements are being handled by Schuetz Funeral Home, where he will be cremated per his wishes, with a celebration of life memorial to be later announced by his daughters.
