Stanley Michael Muklewicz, 67, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away on March 2, 2026, at Country Club Rehabilitation in Bellaire, Ohio. He was born on May 31, 1958, in Bellaire, Ohio, to the late Stanley and Beatrice Muklewicz.

Stanley was a 1976 graduate of St. John’s High School and also attended JVS, where he learned the lifelong craft of carpentry that would define much of his life and work. He was the founder and owner of Muklewicz Contracting Co., a business he proudly operated for many years. Stanley took great pride in his attention to detail and the quality of his work, and those who knew him often said there was nothing he couldn’t fix. In addition to his professional work, Stanley generously donated his time through small projects with a hand full of local churches.

In his early years, he enjoyed golfing, racing competitive motocross, and Sunday night poker games with his friends. Later in life, he developed a passion for woodcarving and became a member of the Oglebay Woodcarvers Guild, where he enjoyed presenting his new pieces each year during the Labor Day weekend show at the Pine Room. One of his favorite pastimes was shooting pool with his son, a tradition that created many cherished memories and will certainly be carried on.

Stanley was a devoted sports fan and enjoyed following the Pirates, Steelers, Buckeyes, and the St. Clairsville Post 159 baseball team; but nothing brought him more joy than cheering on his grandson, Deklan, at his sporting events.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Renda Lynn Muklewicz of Bridgeport; his son, Michael (Alison) Muklewicz of St. Clairsville; daughter, Beatrica Leishman of Bellaire; grandchildren, Deklan Michael Muklewicz, Nicholas Burrows, Brian Leishman, Ryah and Kash Newell; three sisters, Diane Lipperman of Lewis Center, Ohio, Cathy (Mike) Rotilio of Bellaire, Ohio, Janine Anthony of Longboat Key, Florida, three sisters in law, Linda Day of Cedar Rapids Iowa, Sandi (Alan) Bartnicki of Heartwell, Georgia, Cinda Burrows, of Bridgeport; one brother in law, William Burrows of St. Clairsville; nieces and nephews, Brendon (Charli) Lipperman, Kristen Smithson, Brandie (Jim) Sheehan, Ryan Rotilio, Jeremy (Sarah) Rotilio, April (Tom) Contraguerro, Alex Anthony, Hannah Anthony, Marisa Anthony, Corey Day, Kelly (Shannon) Anders, Christopher Bartnicki, Gabriel (Vanessa) Bartnicki, and Nathan (April) Burrows along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff members who provided care at Country Club Rehabilitation and Valley Hospice. Also, to the countless friends and family who filled his room with love, memories, and comfort the past several months.

In accordance with his wishes, Stanley will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on March 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Bridgeport First United Methodist Church, located at 405 Bennett Street, with Pastor Rebecca Latynski officiating. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
