Ronald Wayne Owings

Ronald Wayne Owings, 66, of Carrollton, OH, formally of Colliers WV, died January 20, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving wife Becky. Pastor Jeff McNabb, his cousin Jim and June Ulman, and Shirley Queen. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 6, 1948 to the late Wayne and Carrie (Zurcher) Owings.  Ronald worked for the Weirton Steel Corp. in Weirton, and was also a Constable of Steubenville, OH, also worked for Water Dept. in New Cumberland WV., and did some Construction work. He was a member of Alcohol Anonymous with 26 years sobriety, and a member of Trappers Club.  He loved to hunt deer and bear, fishing, and family reunions, avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.  He was proceeded in death by Bonnie Labanna his sister, and one brother Gerald "Jerry" Owings, infant son Randy Owings, a son Robert "Robby" Owings, one Infant daughter, a brother-in-law Kelvin Gray.  Survived by his loving wife Rebecca "Becky" Owings of home, who he married on December 2, 2008 but had been together since 2003.  Ronald Wayne Owings JR of Follansbee, Rochelle (Joe) Lilly of North Carolina, Gina Owings of Weirton, Eddy Owings of Paris PA, Sean Owings of Paris PA. Dana Owings of Weirton, and Aaron (Tabatha) Owings of Follansbee. Step Children Brandi (Kevin) Anderson of Minnesota, Angela White of Minnesota. grandchildren Eric, Brett, Cole, Brandon, Seth, Gavin, Julia, Lantz, Nicholas, and Jayden.  Step grandchildren Derrick Anderson, Emily Rose Anderson. Also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbors.  Special thanks to Ron's cousin Jim Ulman and his wife June for all there help and support that they have given, in our time of need. Ron's wish was to be cremated, with no service observed.  Schuetz Funeral is assisting family.
