Ronald L. "Murph" Murphy

Ronald L. "Murph" Murphy, 81, of Toronto, OH, passed away on August 8, 2023 at Trinity West.  He was born in Athens, OH, on February 1, 1942 to the late Cecil and Mable (McLaughin) Murphy.  He is also preceded in death by one daughter Nikki Jo Murphy, two sisters Judy Kirkland, and Dolly Dear. Murph was Christian by faith, and Deacon of the New Somerset Christian Church, where he was also the assistant minister. He was owner operator of Kenny's Auto Mart in Wintersville.  He loved attending Nascar races with his wife  Mary Frances (Hall) Murphy of 40 years. He is also survived by three children T. Ronald "TR" Murphy of Toronto, Russell Mason Sr. of Timberville,VA, and Cindy (Mike) Shifflett of Harrisonburg, VA, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, three brothers Carl (Diane) Murphy of Florida, Roger Murphy of Toronto, Mike (Candi) Murphy of Toronto.  Friends and family will be received on Saturday August 12, 2023 from 10 am until time of funeral services at 1pm at New Somerset Christian Church 12052 St. Rt. 213 Toronto, OH 43964 with Pastor Rob Minto officiating.  In LIEU of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
