Robert "Rabbit" E. Lally Jr.

Robert E. Lally, Jr. (“Rabbit”), 84, Robert E. Lally, Jr., lovingly known as “Rabbit”, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026 at Mound View Healthcare. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit and a giI for connecting with people, Rabbit was a well-known figure in Wheeling. He loved to golf and was a huge WVU and Steeler’s fan. 

He was most known for owning Lally’s Lounge in the 1970’s. He also owned American Florist and several other businesses through out the years, and he served as a board member of the Wheeling Housing Authority. He is survived by his children: Robert E. Lally, III, Brian Lally, Michelle JarreV (Mike), and Chrissy Garrison (Donnie), 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. 

He is also survived by his siblings: Michaella Lally, Kathy Heagen (Steve), Jerry Lally (Tonya) and Mike McBride, and his special friend Carolyn O’Dell. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Lally, and his mother, Mary Margaret McBride. A private burial service will be held at the convenience of his family.  Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
