R. Richard Bloomfield

R Richard Bloomfield, 65, of Valley Grove, WV, passed away August 21, 2021. He was born on November 7, 1955 to the late Ralph & Amelia (Fordyce) Bloomfield of Wheeling, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lynnette Bloomfield; and is survived by two sons Richard J. of Creston, OH & Ethan L. of Hillsborough, NC; granddaughter Avalynn Joy of Creston, OH; brothers Larry (Martha), Paul, Dale (Katherine), Daniel, and Keith ; multiple aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, & cousins.
He was a 1974 graduate of Triadelphia High School. He retired from Ohio County Schools. He had a lifelong passion for farming, and cattle.
A visitation will be Saturday August 28th from 2-4 pm followed by a service at the West Liberty Christian Church in West Liberty, WV. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
