Princess Lara Schindler

Lara Schindler of West Liberty WV passed away Tuesday June 11, 2024 peacefully in her home with friends and family. Lara, a loving mother, girlfriend, sister, daughter, and friend was love personified.  She worked hard, played hard and loved with the greatest of intensity. She was the first administrative  assistant at West Liberty Lions Club Family Support Center. She was hired instantly because of her background working in the field of social work. With the explanation that she could start once the grant money was deposited, she called and stated that she “wanted to be involved from the ground up” and started prior to any paycheck in sight. Lara was quick to brag about her amazing children, Harley and Dorian who currently reside in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Ashleigh, residing in Bealeton VA and Brandi residing in Annapolis MD. Even in her final days she could be heard telling others to worry about themselves instead of worrying about her.
She was Preceded in death by her mom, Starlene Morris.  Surviving to share her story are her two sons Harley and Dorian, two daughters Ashleigh Schindler
(Aaron Greer fiancé), grandchildren Genesis Greer and Rileigh Greer, and Brandi Fernandez (Gregory Fernandez), grandchild Raelynn Stanley, her boyfriend, Todd Porter, her sister Laura Pedelose and Jay Bird, and brother Paul and Susan Hetzer, her non-blood sisters Dede Johnson, her niece Brittany Hetzer, and many very dear friends that she considered family.  A celebration of life will be held at Todd and Lara’s property, 740 Harvey Road, Wheeling WV. In true Lara fashion there will be a butterfly release. Friends and family are welcome Sunday June 16th
beginning at 3:00 to come and share heartwarming memories of Lara. Please bring a covered dish to help with the celebration.  In lieu of flowers Lara would like donations made to West Liberty Lions Club Family Support Center at 840 Van Mete Way, West Liberty WV, 304-336-3035.
