Perry (Pete) Richard Nanney Sr.

Perry (Pete) Richard Nanney, Sr., 81, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on November 19, 2024.  He was born June 15, 1943 in Wheeling, WV; son of the late Ralph and Thora (Honaker) Nanney.  Pete enlisted in the Army in April of 1964 and served as a radio operator.  Pete was a retired Ironworker. He spent over thirty years working as a member of Ironworker’s Local #549 of Wheeling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Edwards; one brother, John Nanny; and a daughter, Renee Wodusky.  Pete is survived by one son, one daughter, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson; as well as, multiple nieces, nephews, and friends.  The family would like to thank Rolling Hills Nursing Home of Bridgeport, OH, for the compassion and care they’ve shown Pete over the last five years.  In honor of his final wishes, Pete’s body was donated to the West Virginia University School of Medicine.  The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time.
