Paula Lynn Robinson, 49, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and partner, passed away on February 7, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 29, 1976, in Steubenville, Ohio, Paula lived a life marked by compassion, generosity, and a vibrant spirit that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Paula was a proud graduate of the Steubenville Big Red Class of 1994. She dedicated her career to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Trinity West, where her kindness and dedication shone brightly until her health no longer allowed her to continue. She gave everything, keeping nothing for herself, embodying a selflessness that was both inspiring and heartwarming.
Those close to Paula will remember her as a goof-off with a zest for life. Her ability to live in the moment and spread joy was evident in her love for music, her occasional karaoke nights, and her cherished moments of reading and traveling. Paula's caring nature was encapsulated in a poignant memory from her childhood, when at just ten years old, she prompted her mother to buy donuts for a homeless man sitting on a bench—a reflection of her empathetic soul.
Paula found her greatest pride and joy in her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind six children: Christopher Robinson, Ryan Ault, Chelsea Robinson, Emma Robinson, Issabella Long, and Noah Long, all of Steubenville, Ohio. Her legacy will also continue through five grandchildren: Scarlet, Luna, Roylan, Caden, and Autumn, who brought boundless joy to her life.
Paula is survived by her significant other, Stanley Long, and her beloved mother, Phyllis (Guillaron) Geiger. She also leaves behind her seven siblings: Cheryl McElroy of Mingo Junction, John (Janice) Robinson of Wintersville, Gregory (Petera) Robinson of Steubenville, Phillip (Lisa) Robinson of Steubenville, Donna (Jeff) Luff of Steubenville, Jerry Geiger of Steubenville, and Jessie (Kim) Geiger of Steubenville.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Robinson. Paula's absence leaves a void that will never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the countless memories and the love she shared throughout her life. Her family and friends will carry her light forward, celebrating the beautiful moments and the profound impact she made on so many lives. As we remember Paula, we honor her remarkable journey and the incredible legacy she has left behind. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
