Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Susan ( Andrews) Wallace who departed this world on July 13, 2026, after a lengthy illness due to multiple organ failure. Born on May 29, 1956, in Bellaire, Ohio, Marlene's journey through life was marked by strength, kindness, and spirited resilience that touched all those who had the privilege to know her.

Marlene was the beloved daughter of Rudolph and Mary Andrews, both of whom preceded her in death, as well as her brother Rudolph A. Andrews Jr., whose memory she cherished always.

A proud graduate of the Bellaire High School Class of 1974, Marlene carried the lessons of her hometown with her into every chapter of her life. One of her earliest accomplishments is a testament to her enterprising spirit: as a child, she took over her brother’s paper route, eager to contribute and start earning a living on her own terms.

Her compassionate heart led her to a meaningful career as a Nurses Aid in Home Health, providing comfort, care, and kindness to those in need. Through her work, Marlene made a quiet yet profound difference, leaving behind a legacy of empathy and gentle strength.

Marlene’s personality was a vibrant blend of wild spirit and inner strength, a combination that animated her childhood and adulthood alike. She attended St. Michaels Church in Bellaire as a youngster, shaping a faith and sense of community that would remain with her throughout her life. Childhood adventures colored her early years—she loved playing with dolls and often recalled, with characteristic humor, the infamous day a plate of spaghetti was dumped into her lap (which certainly didn't help her dislike for the dish).

Her simple joys reflected her warmth and fun-loving nature: Marlene delighted in music that uplifted her soul, savored no bake cookies, reveled in Vegetarian Pizza, and enjoyed the sweet treat of Swedish Fish. These comforts, though small, brought her happiness and often became the backdrop of cherished memories with those she loved.

Marlene's love and devotion knew no bounds. She leaves behind her dear daughter Angie Mosby, granddaughter Kalea Pitts, and grandson Elijah Mosby, each of whom were deeply loved and fiercely protected throughout Marlene’s life. Her brother, Michael C. Andrews, and his wife Debra remain among those whose lives were enriched by her presence. Several nieces and nephews.  Her friendship with Jackie Smith stood as a testimony to the enduring bonds she nurtured with loyalty and affection.

The countless memories she leaves—her laughter, her generosity, her stories and traditions—will live on in the hearts of those who survive her. Marlene's journey was one shaped by unwavering determination, acts of quiet selflessness, and boundless love for family and friends.

Services to honor Marlene Susan Wallace’s life will be held as follows:

Her family and friends will forever hold her memory close, finding comfort in the love she gave and the lasting impression of her indomitable spirit. Marlene will be deeply missed but never forgotten, and her legacy of strength and kindness will persevere in all those who knew and loved her. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
