Kermit Alan Kull

On Friday, January 1, 2021, Kermit Alan Kull, loving and devoted husband, father of two, grandfather of three, and great grandfather of three was received into the arms of our Lord in Heaven.

Kermit was born October 7, 1930 in Yorkville, Ohio to Mildred (Heil) and Lawrence Kull. He graduated in 1948 from Yorkville High School. There, Kermit lead the OVAC in scoring his senior year in football. In 1964, he and his brother Gilbert opened up Valley Packing Co., and was in business for 40 years.

Kermit served in the Air Force during The Korean War. He was stationed in many places, such as, Morocco, but when he was transferred to Lake Charles, Louisiana, he met the love of his life, Melba Conner. On January 20, 1956 they were married. They had two children, Keith and Kimberly.

Kermit had a passion for fishing, hunting, and working on his farm, which is now in the care of his

children. Kermit went on fishing trips with family and friends yearly his whole life, a passion that has been passed down, currently, for 2 generations. He was known for his kind attitude, quick wit, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit.

Kermit was preceded in death by his mother and father (mentioned above), one sister, Eileen (Kull) Palkins, and 2 brothers, Joseph Kull, Gilbert Kull, and loving wife Melba (Conner) Kull. He is survived by a son Keith (Maureen) Kull, a daughter Kimberly Kull, three grandsons, Kyle (Lauren) Kull, Kristopher Kull, Luke Osborn and three great grand children, Kade Kull, Koen Kull, and Ada Kull.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Richland Friends Church or Department of Veterans Affairs.   Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
