John William Macdonald, 72, of Weirton, WV passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice, Steubenville, on December 22, 2017. He was born on January 29, 1945 to the late Luther and Mary Rebecca (Gildersleeve) Macdonald.
John was a retiree from Weirton Steel and also worked at Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel.
John is preceded in death by his oldest son Todd Macdonald, and his sister Marilyn Tyson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Verletta "Sue" (Hayes) Macdonald, one son Tadd Macdonald of Columbus, OH, one step son Jeffrey Briggs of Pinegrove, WV, two step daughters Jackie (Mike) Cronin of Princess Anne, Maryland, and Pam (Casey) Forsch of Warwood, WV, ten grand children and six great grand children. Schuetz Funeral Home in Ming Jct, is serving the family.
