Listen to Obituary

Jesse James Muravsky, fondly known as “JJ,” was born on July 9, 1984, in Bellaire, Ohio. With great shock and profound sadness, his family and friends share that Jesse’s light left this world unexpectedly on his 42nd birthday, July 9, 2026.

From his earliest days, Jesse’s zest for life was unmistakable. He grew up in Maynard, attending St. Clairsville High School, where friendships were forged and memories were made. Jesse further honed his skills at JVS Belmont, specializing in Small Engines—a testament to his hands-on nature and his desire to turn knowledge into action.

Endlessly resourceful and quick with both a joke and a helping hand, Jesse became the very definition of a jack of all trades. Whether he was fixing engines or tackling new projects, building things that would outlast the day, or simply finding creative ways to push the limits for fun, his ingenuity was matched only by his warmth. Mudding and burn outs were frequent adventures, but so too were the heartfelt moments shared with loved ones. Jesse had an unfailing ability to fill any room with laughter. His family will never forget the legendary story of the quarter he glued to his cousin’s forehead—one of many testaments to his mischievous spirit and boundless sense of humor.

Jesse’s greatest pride and truest joy were his children. Klowiee, Madasyn, Izabellah, and Ava, were the lights of his world. The love he poured into fatherhood was deep, unconditional, and unwavering. He delighted in watching them grow, sharing in their laughter, and prizing every moment together. For Jesse, being “Dad” was a crowning achievement—a legacy that will live on through the generations.

He was cherished by his raising mother, Toby Dean, and his sister that helped Dawnita Moore, whose unwavering support and love sustained him; his brother, Bobby Myers, with whom he shared a lifetime of camaraderie; and his girlfriend Kayla Brown.

Though their loss is immeasurable, those surviving Jesse are comforted in the memories that live on. He joins loved ones who passed before him—Ralph Muravsky and Austie Young Muravsky—keeping alive the bonds that can never truly be broken.

Jesse’s legacy is as enduring as it is heartfelt: a man who would do anything for anyone, whose laughter filled every home and whose loyalty knew no bounds. He leaves behind the echo of good times and the irreplaceable warmth of true kindness. To have known Jesse was to know laughter, to feel cared for, and to be reminded that even in the hardest moments, love endures.

Details regarding funeral or memorial services will be provided by the family. Until then, his loved ones will hold each other close, telling the stories and sharing the laughter that Jesse so freely gave. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
