Harold Eugene Behm, born on August 6, 1967, in Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2026, at Wheeling Hospital. A dedicated professional and family man, Harold’s life was marked by hard work, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Harold was a proud graduate of Fosston High School’s Class of 1985. He embarked on his career at Eat'n Park, where his tenacity and leadership skills propelled him to the position of General Manager. Demonstrating exceptional capability and dedication, he then advanced to roles at Pilot in Cambridge and ultimately settled at the Travel Centers of America in Dallas Pike/Wheeling Truck Stop. There, he spent the last 15 years of his career with distinction. His outstanding leadership was recognized when he was honored as General Manager of the Year in 2024, a testament to his excellence in management and his commitment to both employees and customers.

Throughout his career, Harold was known for his generosity and care for his staff, often going beyond professional duties by personally ensuring employees were taken to and from work when facing difficulties. This gesture reflected his character: responsible, compassionate, and always looking out for others.

Harold was a man of diverse interests who found joy and relaxation in woodworking and watching sports, particularly football on Sundays. His love for lasagna was well known among his family and friends. Despite his many accomplishments, Harold remained humble, never asking for gifts on his birthdays or at Christmas. Those who knew him recall fondly his time spent outdoors with his dogs and his hands-on approach to maintaining his home, even when his stern demeanor was apparent.

Family was at the heart of Harold’s life. He is preceded in death by his adopted father, Harold Behm Sr. He is survived by his significant other of 38 years, Kristi Monroe; his son, Brandon Behm of Bellaire, who he considered one of his proudest accomplishments; his brother, Jack Behm of Las Vegas; his biological mother, Angie Anderson of Minnesota; and his adopted mother, Betty Behm. Harold took great pride in providing for his family and viewed his career achievements, particularly his General Manager awards, as instrumental in supporting those he loved.

Harold Eugene Behm’s legacy is one of dedication, kindness, and quiet strength. His contributions to his profession and his devotion to family leave a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his steadfast character and generous spirit.
