Frank Eugene McFadden Sr.

Frank (Mac) Eugene McFadden Sr.,76, a beloved father, grandfather, and husband, passed away on January 2, 2026, at Trinity West. Born on August 22, 1949, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Frank lived a life filled with determination, passion, and love for his family.

Frank’s professional journey was marked by diversity; he undertook many roles throughout his life, including salesman, mechanic, and working in a lumber yard. He even dedicated time to delivering newspapers for the Timesleader, showcasing his unwavering work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.

Outside of work, Frank had a zest for life that shone through his hobbies and interests. He found joy in savoring a cold Rolling Rock and had a remarkable affinity for dancing, where he expressed his vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm.

Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Sherry Lynn (Fletcher) McFadden. Together, they nurtured a family that stands as a testament to his legacy. He is remembered fondly by his six children: Frank E (Sue) McFadden Jr. of Glen Robbins, Audrey McFadden of Holloway, Deedra Howard of Martins Ferry, Virginia Howard of Mt. Pleasant, Samantha (Frank) Twardoski of Rayland, and Tommas Howard of Fremont, Ohio. His 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren were the pride of his heart; they brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

Siblings Sue Murray of Tiltonsville and Linda (Al) Boyer of Yorkville also carry forward his memory, cherishing the bond they shared with Frank.

Frank leaves behind a profound legacy of love, laughter, and familial devotion. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Zona (Bonecutter) McFadden, and his daughter, Frankie Lynn McFadden. The family mourns also the loss of three brothers, William McFadden, Doug West, and Clarence "Lee" McFadden Jr., and one infant sister, Shirley McFadden.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Frank on January 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM with services at 2pm with Rev. James Agnew at The Homestead Event Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Frank’s warmth and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him, leaving an enduring imprint of love and cherished memories. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
