With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we remember and honor the life of Frank Edward Raber, who passed away peacefully of natural causes due to old age on August 25, 2026, at Valley Hospice Care Center North, at the age of 96.

Born on November 21, 1929, in Marion, West Virginia, Frank was a witness to nearly a century of history, change, and progress. From his first days in Marion, the values and traditions of family, resilience, and kindness shaped the remarkable person he became. Frank's life journey was distinguished by an unwavering integrity and kindness that touched all who knew him.

Throughout his years, Frank maintained connections that defined his world and legacy. He cherished the memory of his beloved parents, Everett Otto Raber and Lillian Iretta Raber, and held close the spirits of his sisters, Edith Larane Gilmore, Pauline Costley, and Opal Raber, who preceded him in death. Their lives, deeply intertwined with Frank’s own, nourished his sense of belonging and family pride.

Frank’s kindness and companionship enriched many lives. He leaves behind his steadfast friends, Richard "Craig" Thoburn of St.Clairsville, Anna Regas of Jewett, and Art Lewis of Jewett, whose loyalty and presence brought warmth to Frank’s everyday life. He will also be deeply missed by his devoted niece, Debbie Costley, who remained a constant source of love and care, and Jenny Costley of Jewett, who currently resides in New York, Stacey Wymer a great niece, and Anthony and Alexica Fife a great great nephew and niece.

Frank lived quietly but with unmistakable purpose, upholding a personal code of humility and dignity. Those fortunate enough to have known him will always recall his gentle spirit, his generosity, and the thoughtful way he moved through the world. Frank’s passing marks not only the end of a long and full life, but also the continuation of a legacy of compassion and sincere connection—a legacy carried on by all who carry his memory in their hearts.

Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Frank’s life on Friday August 28, from 12 pm until time of service at 1 pm at Bethel Methodist Church 45925 Jewett Hopedale Rd, Jewett, OH  with Dorman Mader Celebrant. After the service He will be buried at Fairview Cemetery with Fully Military Honors.

As we bid farewell, we find comfort in recalling Frank’s steadfast spirit and the gentle influence he imparted upon those around him. His was a life well-lived—a legacy not measured in worldly accomplishments, but in the deep and lasting impact of kindness, love, and resilience. Rest in peace, Frank Edward Raber.
