Edward James Jones

Edward “Eddie” James Jones, 64, of Mingo Jct., passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 9, 2026.

Eddie spent many of his days tending bar and enjoying his time surrounded by his closest friends at Rob’s Parkview Inn in Mingo Jct. He loved visiting his parents, Carol and Jim, and attending mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church on the weekends. Eddie was especially fond of his children, Brad and Autumn, and his cherished grandchildren, Delia and Jack, all of whom he was immensely proud of.

When Eddie was at home, you could often find him comfortable on his couch watching Pittsburgh sports and enjoying a beer. Attending any Pirates, Penguins, or Steelers game in person was one of his favorite outings.

He spent 20 years working proudly as a mechanic at Neo Industries in Weirton, WV.

In the late 90’s Eddie and his then wife, Jane, took over the former Cross Creek Saloon, which they renamed Cross Creek Tavern. He enjoyed riding his Harley and hosting friends and family there, showing everyone a good time. Ed continued to run the bar with April after his and Jane’s separation into the early 2000’s.

Ed is preceded in death by his wife, who he loved and missed so immensely, April (Morris) Jones, and his great friend, who he called his brother, “Bub” Beall.

He is survived by his parents, Carol and Jim Jones, his first wife and the mother of his children, with whom he kept a cordial relationship, Jane Horsburgh, his children Brad Jones (Kim), Autumn Kropka (Jamie), step son Nathan Casto (Kim), brother Jeremy Jones (Joy), sister Sandi Jones-Runkel (Ron), and several nieces and nephews, aunts, and cousins.

Per Eddie’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life is expected to take place at Rob’s Parkview Inn at a later date.
