Douglas Warren Boyles

August 12, 1968 — September 8, 2025

Wintersville, OH

Douglas Warren Boyles, a cherished husband, brother, and friend, was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on August 12, 1968. He passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by the love that defined his life.

Doug's career was marked by dedication and compassion. He worked for Weirton Steel as a laborer, and his caring nature led him to obtain his CNA certification, allowing him the privilege of caring for patients in the medical profession. This commitment to nurturing others reflected the essence of who he was—a reliable, dependable, and empathetic soul who brightened the lives of everyone around him.

As a proud graduate of Wintersville High School, Doug followed his passion for helping others and woven laughter into his daily life. His childlike love of life and infectious sense of humor would light up any room, bringing joy to those fortunate enough to know him. Friends and family will forever cherish memories of his laughter, humor, and the warmth he shared.

Sporting a profound love for the outdoors, Doug enjoyed camping, exploring Amish country, and attending car shows. He had a unique flair for collecting coins, which reflected his keen eye for detail and appreciation for history. These hobbies painted a picture of a man who treasured the simple joys in life and valued gathering loved ones for shared experiences.

At the heart of his life and his proudest accomplishment was his beloved wife of 32 years, Melinda Marie (Deruelle) Boyles. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love and mutual support. Doug's caring nature extended beyond people; he is survived by his cherished fur babies, Cole, Spooky, Oscar, and Tommy the Chicken, each holding a special place in his heart.

He is also survived by his brother, Claude Boyles of Wintersville, and his nephew, Dakota Boyles of Dennison. Doug's love for his family knew no bounds, and he maintained close relationships that enriched his life and the lives of those who knew him.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Vernon Marie (Francis) Boyles, whose love and guidance shaped him into the remarkable person he became.

His legacy of kindness, laughter, and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation will be held on Thursday September 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on September 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Schuetz Funeral Home, located at 235 Clifton Ave, Mingo Junction, OH 43938. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 11:00 AM on Friday September 12, 2025.

Doug leaves behind a bouquet of joyful memories, reminding us of the laughter and light he brought into our lives. He will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
