Dorothy Lucinda Renforth

Dorothy Lucinda Renforth, known to many as Cindy, passed away on October 6, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital Weirton. She was born on April 17, 1951, in Steubenville, Ohio.

Cindy was a warm and friendly woman whose kindness was felt by those around her. She was a graduate of Mingo High School and later received an associate degree from Jefferson Community College as a STNA. She loved to crochet and found joy in giving away the things she made, sharing her time and talents in a way that reflected her generous heart.

Among the greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren, who were her proudest accomplishment. Family was at the center of Cindy’s life, and she treasured the time she spent with those she loved.

She is survived by her son, David R. Friend of Steubenville; by David’s wife, Kristina; and by their three children, Cheyenne, Hayden, and Madyson Friend. She is also survived by her brother Michael Renforth and his wife, Rose, of Mingo Junction; her sister, Charlotte Moore of Toronto, Ohio, and Charlotte’s son, Samuel Moore; and her brother David Timothy Renforth and his wife, Alberta, of Mingo Junction.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Archie Paul Renforth, and her mother, Goldie Marie Renforth Faulkner.

She will be remembered for her gentle nature, her friendly spirit, and the care she showed through the handmade gifts she so gladly shared with others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. A Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be celebrated on Sunday October 11, at 4 pm at the Wintersville Methodist Church 702 Main Street Wintersville, OH 43953.
