Cynthia "Cindy" Kay Jordan

Cynthia "Cindy" Kay Jordan, 72, of Steubenville, OH passed away on September 7, 2026 at UPMC Mercy Hospital surrounded by family.  She was born on March 14, 1954 to the late Allen Edgar Hammer and Dorothy A. (Rogers) Thomas. She is survived by her long time boyfriend Donnie Vandevander of Rivertown, WV,  two siblings Linda (Henry) Vandeborne of Waynesburg, and Allen E. "Mike" Hammer of Wintersville,   her three children Tara (George) Beard of Steubenville, Christopher M. Skipper of Weirton, and Karri Sharpe of Mingo Jct., six grandchildren Stefani Stephen of St. Louis, Courtni Stephen of Steubenville, Tyler Sharpe of Wintersville, Alyssa (Cody) Hayman of Amsterdam, Thomas C. Stephen (Shelly Smith) of Wintersville, Cannon M. Skipper of Weirton, Nine great grandchildren Audree, Amara, Kenny, Jax, Cole, Adilayah, Kai, Emma, and Skyler. 

Cindy was a home maker and a natural caregiver for her family. she had a knack for healing ailing pets.  She was dearly loved and will be missed by all. There will be no services at this time.  Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
