Cheryl "Cheri" Devore

Cheryl "Cheri" Devore, 63, of Brilliant, OH passed away on February 7, 2025 at Valley Hospice after a two year hard fought battle with Stomach cancer. She was born on November 20, 1961 to the late Sherrill and Mary Margaret "Peg" (Rock) Hazelip. She is survived by two children- Nicolette Devore (Mark Guglielmo) of Weirton, and Coletin Devore of Mingo Jct., as well as one brother, Gary Hazelip of Brilliant. She graduated from Buckeye North High School in 1980, where she was a decorated majorette. Cheri worked for Jefferson Security as a Security Guard and Traffic Controller, as well as Security for the Cardinal Plant. Baptized as Catholic, she was a faithful member of Riddles Run House of Prayer Church. Cheri was a loving mother, sister, and friend to all. In lieu of a viewing, Cheri will have a celebration of life and benefit dinner on March 1, 2025 at Chris and Dave’s Townhouse Bar and Grill in Mingo Jct. The family would also like to thank Valley Hospice for all of the kindness, compassion and excellent care during this time. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
