Carson Edgar Stevens Sr.

Carson Edgar Stevens Sr., affectionately known as “Buster,” passed away on October 13, 2026, at Country Club Manor after a long battle with PTSD. He was born on May 31, 1953, in Bellaire, Ohio.

Mr. Stevens served his country in the United States Army for four years, including service in the 101st Airborne Division. After returning home, he went on to work for the City of Bellaire in sanitation for more than 30 years, giving decades of steady service to his community.

Carson was a man whose family was everything to him. He was very reserved and often preferred staying inside, but those who knew him understood the depth of his love and loyalty. He enjoyed football, loved the Steelers, and found pleasure in fishing, watching westerns—especially John Wayne movies—listening to the Beatles, and watching the Stormes. Among the memories held close by his family is the time he took them to Bar Camp and saved the girls from drowning, a moment that remains unforgettable. Of all the things he valued most in life, his proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Sue Stevens, and by his mother, Rosemary Stevens. He also leaves behind his children, Christina Alloway of St. Clairsville, Rachael Myles of Bridgeport, Ashley Ruggiero of Tiltonsville, and Carson Edgar Stevens Jr. and Ashley. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Devon, Logan, Tucker, Max, Arianna, Grayson, and Gabby. He is also survived by his brother, John Stevens of Bellaire, and his sister, Rita Fitch of Bellaire. Each of them carries forward the memory of a man whose devotion to his family was the center of his life.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Stevens, George “Lenny” Stevens Sr., and Michael Stevens, and by his sister, Charlotte Higgins.
