It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brittany Nichole McDonald, who left us unexpectedly on October 14, 2024, at Trinity Medical Center West. Born on January 14, 1990, in Pittsburgh, PA, Brittany was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her.

Brittany was a proud graduate of Martins Ferry High School, she participated in the ROTC Program, embodying the values of responsibility, teamwork, and commitment. Her engaging personality and infectious laughter drew people to her effortlessly. She had a big heart, and it showed in every interaction; her sweet nature made her a beloved friend and confidante to many. Those who had the privilege to know Brittany will forever cherish her smile, her unique voice, and her remarkable ability to bring warmth into every room.

Brittany loved her family deeply, finding joy in the company of her nieces and nephew, who were the apples of her eye. She possessed a beautiful soul that made every gathering a little brighter, and her love for them was evident in everything she did. Brittany’s family includes her father, Brian McDonald, and her mother, Tricia (Park) McDonald, along with her sister, Tabitha McDonald, who is partnered with Corderrel Covington, and her loving grandmother, Mary Auten. She also leaves behind five cherished nieces and one nephew, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins, all of whom will hold onto her memory with love and admiration.

In her free time, Brittany enjoyed gaming, often losing herself in the immersive worlds of Xbox and hosting delightful makeup parties. These hobbies were not just pastimes for her; they were avenues for creativity and connection. She approached everything with joy and enthusiasm, making even the simplest gatherings memorable.

Brittany was welcomed into heaven by her beloved grandmother, Sandra Auten, and her grandfather, Richard McDonald, along with her cousin, Dustin Furman. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their memories will forever be intertwined with hers.

As we say goodbye to this amazing person, we celebrate a life filled with kindness, laughter, and love. Brittany Nichole McDonald will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all of the beauty she brought to each of our lives.  There will be a Celebration dinner at a later date.  Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
