Bonnie Helmbright 12/10/1963 - 05/23/2026 Born and raised in Wheeling, WV 

Passed away leaving behind a legacy of laughter, fierce loyalty, and unforgettable memories.

Bonnie was a true original who lived life entirely on her own terms.

Best described as sassy, blunt, and completely fearless.She was a tough, no-nonsense woman who didn’t sugarcoat the truth, but her harsh honesty was always balanced by a deeply supportive heart.


If you were in her corner, you knew it. She was effortlessly the life of the party, bringing an unmatched energy to every family gathering.


Some of Bonnie’s favorite moments were the simplest ones: listening to country music, dreaming of the beach, snacking on sunflower seeds and hot fries, and spending long afternoons at backyard BBQs.


She possessed a deep love for her dogs, who were her constant companions, and she leaves behind a large, devoted circle of friends who loved her for exactly who she was.



Bonnie was Preceded in Death by Her Beloved Daughter Kara Whitecotton, Mother Mary Ann (Harris) Helmbright, Sister Kristie Helmbright, Sister-In -Law Teresa Helmbright, Niece Hope Helmbright, Cousins: Randy Doty, John (Jack) Fenton, Eldora Markus, Teresa Copney, and Friend Rick Gilliam.


Her Fiery spirit lives on through her surviving family She is Survived by Daughter, Kayla Beatty & her partner Mike Vaonakis. Lifelong Companion: George Beatty Sisters: Sallie Curtis & husband Curt, Nancy Cross, Deborah Markle, Brothers: Manuel, Mark, Robert, and Kenny Helmbright.

Her cherished Grandchildren, Hayley, George and Zoe Vaonakis, Davie-Kay Ruttencuter, Krislen and Tavion Callaway, Emma Wingrove, Craig and Carter Hooper, who brought her joy and made her proud.

Cousins Brenda Schweiger, Diane Zavolta, Tommy Hawkins Patrick Doty, Jim Doty and wife Marlene, David Doty and Wife Leann, David Thomas and Wife Patricia.


Bonnie's presence will be profoundly missed, but her fearless attitude and the laughter she shared will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.


Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31st, 2026 at Schuetz Funeral Home 4719 Jacob Street Wheeling WV 12 noon until 3pm service at 1pm Lunch will be served to Pay respect to Bonnie and eat what she enjoyed: Taco's
