Benjamin Edward McCormick, 80, of Bellaire, OH died Monday April 24th 2023 at home with his loving family. He was born September 27th 1942 in Shadyside, OH to the late Thomas and Maud McCormick. Ben was a retired coal miner and Methodist by faith. He was a life member of the VFW and the DAV. He also loved Fishing and Spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing Bingo. In addition to his parents He was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol (Vessels) McCormick, Jim McCormick, Robert McCormick, Sonny McCormick and brother Jerry McCormick. Surviving are his two daughters Amy (McCormick) Tanner of Bellaire, April (Tim) Rollison of Newark, OH, Dianna (Justin) Brown, of Bridgeport, OH, Doug (Angel) Tanner of Bellaire, OH, Phillip Rollison of Newark, OH Cassie Rollison of Newark, OH and Kayla (Jesse) Fitzgerald of Hillsboro, OH, and special great grandchildren Kaleb, Kaysen, and Kamarian of Bellaire, and Trinten, Brysen of Newark, OH and Trace and Jaden of Hillsboro, OH Desirai Rollison of Newark, OH. Family and friends will be received at Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave Mingo Jct. OH, on Thursday May 4, 2023 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am with Bishop Michael Toliver celebrant. Viewing will then continue after services until 1 pm. Burial will take place at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 2:30 pm for those wishing to drive separately. Dinner will be served at the American Legion post 52 at 3600 Guernsey Street Bellaire, OH at 4 pm.
