Listen to Obituary

Amy Marie Jones passed away on October 22, 2026, at Liza's Place. She was born on June 25, 1973, in Ravenna, Ohio.

Amy was a graduate of Ravenna High School, Class of 1991. She later graduated college with an Associate in Medical Assisting. Her work included cleaning and home health, and she cared for people in ways that reflected her giving nature.

Amy was a very religious person who loved God and her Bible. She loved the sun, preferred the heat, and enjoyed walking. She found peace in reading the Bible and in setting out on walking trails in nature and through the woods. She also loved spending time playing with her grandchildren.

Her family was the center of her life and her proudest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren. She was an active and devoted mother who encouraged her children to use their imagination and to follow the Lord. Some of the memories her family will always hold close are of Amy writing stories with her daughter Sarah, wrestling with her son Christophere, and bringing energy, care, and faith into her parenting every day.

Amy is survived by her mother, Rebecca Reedy, and her stepfather, Edward Reedy. She is also survived by her daughter, Tonya Vilga of Colliers; her sons, William Fisher, and Christopher Fisher of Streetsboro; her daughter, Sarah Penix of Streetsboro and her siblings; and her sister, Kim Jones of Ravenna, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Emma Smith.

Amy will be remembered for her faith, her love for her family, and the care she gave to others throughout her life. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
