Wilma Louise (Coates) Kowalczyk

Wilma Louise Kowalczyk, 89, of Maynard, OH passed away on October 9, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born on January 4, 1934 to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Donley) Coates.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph Anthony Kowalczyk,  two sisters Ardath and Shirley Coates.  Wilma was a homemaker, worked at the Belmont County Auditor's Office, and was a butcher at Reisbeck's.  A member of the former St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Catholic Women's Club,  a member of the  American Legion women's Auxiliary, she enjoyed hiking in the woods, Jewelry making, camping, and planting flowers in her garden. She is survived by five children Brian Kowalczyk of Maynard, Kelly (Anita) Kowalczyk of Kings Mt. North Carolina, Kirk (Susan) Kowalczyk of Bellaire, Michele Hill of Bridgeport, and Randy (Linda) Kowalczyk, of Wellsburg, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. There will be no services at this time and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
