Gary Starkey Obituary

Gary Lee Starkey, 69, left this world suddenly on April 10th, 2024. He was born September 8th, 1954, to Vernon and Frances (Smith) Starkey. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James "Jim", mother-in-law Donna Starkey, Father- in-law Don E Rouse, and brother- in - law Don E Rouse Jr., and one of his man's best friends, Loki 'Willie Nelson" Starkey who passed away April 9th, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tina (Rouse) Starkey, daughter Alexandria "Ali '' Starkey and her significant other Trevor Cooper, two sons Seth and Darian Starkey. Brother Vernon ``Larry" Starkey, Sister Mary Frances Starkey, one grandson Tre Cooper, along with two brother-in-law Lorne 'Hut" Rouse, Tim Blocker, sister-in-law Janie Rouse Blocker, sister-in-law Amber Starkey Chafin and spouse Josh and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary retired from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades as well as Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. As per Gary's request, there will be no services but a private family & friends gathering in the near future. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Jefferson County Humane Society or Autism Speaks. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
