George Thomas Singleton, "Peachy" "Sidedump", 76, of Mingo Jct., OH passed away at UPMC Presbyterian on Wednesday December 18, 2019 in the presence of his loving family. 

George was born in Steubenville, Ohio on August 30, 1943 son of late John D. Singleton and Arletus L. Myers Singleton.

George served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He was a Vietnam Veteran.  George was an independent truck driver for many years and was retired from the Jefferson County Water Department. George was a member of Steubenville Lodge #45 of the F.& A.M. of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brothers John J. Singleton, Okey Singleton, and sister Martha Chellette. 

George is survived by his wife of 51 years Heleentje (Helen Batenburg) Singleton.  He also survived by his sisters Helen Blaskovich of Colliers, W.Va. and Jean Filler of Arizona and brother Richard Singleton of Florida.

Surviving George are his children, Kristi (Chris) Kirkpatrick of New Alexandria and Gregory A. (Kristal) Singleton of New Alexandria.   George leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Gregory G. Singleton, Sydnee Kirkpatrick and Cooper Kirkpatrick all of New Alexandria. He will greatly miss his loving dogs, Sammy and Isaac and his playful cat Gretchen. 

Friends will be received at the Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave. Mingo Jct., OH on Saturday December 21, 2019 from 3 pm until time of Services at  7 pm.
