Music by The Piano Brothers

Walter (Wally) John Winski, Sr. 77, of Dillonvale, OH slipped the bonds of earth and passed peacefully to his heavenly reward on October 19, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 4, 1937 in Ramsey, Ohio to the late Walter Frank and Luwenia Rose (Angel) Winski. In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by two sisters Elizabeth (Winski) Shank, and Luwenia (Lou) (Winski) Cybulski, two brothers-in-law Chester Shank, and Neil Campbell, and his mother-in-law Katherine (Couch) Campbell Clifford.

Wally is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jean (Campbell) Winski, three sons, Walter John (Vickie Eberts) Winski Jr. of Dillonvale, Raymond (Mandy) Winski of Bunker Hill, WV, and Thomas Winski of Florida, and three daughters, Jill (Kenneth) McVicker of Dillonvale, Jody (Zachary) Beck of Martins Ferry, and Rebecca Dukes of South Carolina.

He also leaves behind a brother-in-law Albert Cybulski of Belmont, a sister-in- law Marie Campbell of Crooksville and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law George (Raye Ann) Campbell of Cadiz, seven grandchildren, Sara (Nick) Roach, Kristopher and Tucker McVicker, Jackson Beck, and Benjamin and Shannon Dukes, and four great grandchildren, Adalyn Jane, Shane, Brett, and Amelia Rose, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, three aunts, Violet Petrilla of Adena, Bernice Soboleski of Cadiz, and Helen Angel of Yorkville, and numerous cousins.

Wally graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School.  He was a retired general contractor and a master woodworker. He most enjoyed working alongside his son, Walt Jr.  He was an Honorary Dillonvale Volunteer Fireman with over 50 years of service and a long-time member of Pine Valley Sportsman's Club. He will be remembered as a former standout pitcher for several Ohio Valley softball teams.  He was Catholic by faith.

Wally was devoted to his family.  His pride and joy were his grandchildren.  He dearly loved and achingly missed his former dog Lucky, but he was actively enjoying his dog, Beagle Bailey and his new birthday puppy, Cuddles.  Wally was a much loved man, and he will be sadly missed by many.

The family wishes to acknowledge and give a special thank you to the staff on the 3rd and 6th floors of Wheeling Hospital, Alexis, his home aide, Tess, his home nurse, Dr. Edward Chiu, his cardiologist, and Father Tony of the Pastoral Care of Wheeling Hospital. We send special prayers to all of you that your hands and hearts will be blessed to continue to serve.

Friends will be received on November 1, 2014 at Holly Memorial Gardens, 73360 Pleasant Grove Road, Colerain, OH from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, with burial to follow in the Good Shepherd section.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Dillonvale Fire Department, PO Box 626, Dillonvale, OH 43917 or the Dillonvale Emergency Medical Service, PO Box 8, Dillonvale, OH 43917.

Schuetz Funeral Home, Mingo Junction, OH is assisting the family. Thank you, Jeffrey. You are the best.

This is for my dearest friend and my sister Jeanne who I have loved for 53 years. You and Wally beat Johna nd me by one year ! You and Wally made it to 43 years and we are at 42. We were there in the beginnings and we are here at the end. You and Wally had a wonderful, loving life that so many will never have. You were blessed by God for 43 + years . You had ups and downs but you always were there for each other through the very strong bond called love .. Nothing would ever break that bond -- even death ... Wally will always be in your heart. He loved you so much ! His children and grand children were the light of his life and his beloved Lucky and his new puppy Cuddles. He will be missed every day by all who knew and loved him. Like I said before he is in Heaven with Kate playing cards and Dad is watching over them as he walks around the table ! He is at peace and in no more pain . He is with The Lord . Good bye old friend. You will be missed...
